Recipe for cute little bear buns on Fabulous Food Friday!

We got bear buns!!!

Hello! lol We got those really cute little bears to bake together with you today...agreed?! Everyone should have cute food in their life, right?!

These little cuties aren´t just fun to eat, they are also great to be made together with small kids (or big ones lol). The littlies will be delighted to see their bear family take shape!

Let´s get started!!!

Bear Buns

250g flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 medium sized egg
250g custard cheese
50g sugar (caster sugar mixed with vanilla sugar if you happen to have any)
pinch of salt
cinnamon, optionally if you love it as much as we do (it certainly is a great addition I think)
4 Tbs oil

coffee cream or milk
nuts
raisins
poppy seeds

Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon (if using) and salt. Add custard cheese, egg, sugar and oil. Knead to form a smooth dough. Divide into 12 pieces, roll them into balls and flatten. This will be your bear´s face. Now onto the fun part - decoration time!!! We used almonds for the ears, a hazelnut for the nose, raisins for the eyes and poppy seeds for daddy bear´s beard. But I´m sure you will have more ideas on how to decorate your bears.

When you are done decorating, brush bear buns with coffee cream or milk.

Bake at 200°C for 25-30 minutes.

Also, do you want to have a peek how cute the gingerbread house already looks? There we go:
