' The owl girl!

Owl girl doll in the &Stitches-Ezine!

Wow, amazing that January is already over! Time seems to fly so quickly sometimes! As we just have a fresh start into February today I thought we could talk about childhood memories this month!

Today I want to introduce you to a very lovely ezine called "&Stitches".

I was being a lucky duck and contributed to their newest issue! When I was told that the theme would be "Woodlands" I really wasn´t short on ideas - actually, I had so many that I didn´t really know which one was my favorite and which one I should go for. After a lot of thinking and "discussing" with my little one we decided that every wood should be populated by a sweet little owl girl! So here she is! You will notice that I went with a Russian nesting doll kind of shape. I have always loved these cute creatures! When I was in Jamie´s age I had a set of Russian nesting dolls and the smallest one was as tiny as the nail on my small finger - which is really tiny when you are only four years old. Someone gave them to me as a present from a journey they made. I remember how much I treasured them. Sadly they kind of got lost over the years, so I hope one day a new set will move into our home!

As I was saying the owl girl was fully inspired by my old Russian nesting dolls and our love for owls. She had to have a cape with cute little feathers to keep her warm during winter! Here´s a peek at the pattern in the ezine:

I sure hope that some of you will get the ezine and give our pattern a try! The ezine is totally worth purchasing, it is full of lovely patterns, tutorials and tips!

Have a peek what´s inside! (the photos are taken from the ezine, so please respect their copyright)

Isn´t the badger just the cutest?!

If you want to buy issue 5 of &Stitches you can do so here!

Also make sure you take a look at their website - it is full of inspiration!

Have a wonderful weekend and don´t forget it´s the last day to enter our giveaway!!!
