Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a good week so far! Today´s color pick is going to remind us of summer and lemonade - "lemon zest"! It made me want to head straight into the kitchen and bake some sweet lemon tart or lemon poppy seed muffins - or both!
This picture is for Mette - who happens to love the smurfs as much as we do! I am sure the baker smurf used a lot of lemon zest for his delicious looking cakes and cookies! I always try to use freshly grated lemon zest in our baking. We even have a small lemon tree and it happens to produce the best ever lemons! But being so small we only get a handful of lemons every year - but these are always used for lovely cakes!
When I first spotted them I really didn´t know what to think about the Sonny Angels, but now that we have one we are madly in love with it! It just got the perfect color for today´s lemon-y pick as well!
Lemons happen to bring back a lot of summer memories to us. Just think of all the blooming gardens and flowers that we can enjoy soon! As there are no flowers outside yet we thought we could make an origami blossom for you!
