We got snow...a lot of it! Snow just turns the world outside into a sparkly and magical scenery, doesn´t it? Some of you never get any snow so Jamie and I thought about a way to share some snow fun with these people as well. We would totally package up some snow clouds and send them your way but unfortunately our magical abilities are not developed enough to do so...(yet!). But we can share some snowball cookies with you - and believe me, these are magical, too. It is almost like magic how quickly they will disappear!
Ingredients for about 24 snowball cookies:
100g ground almonds
2 Tbs powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a cookie sheet with baking paper. Knead all ingredients together and form about 24 walnut sized snowballs. Place them on your prepared sheet and bake for about 12 - 15 minutes. Take them out and leave to cool for a couple of minutes. In the meantime mix together some vanilla sugar (or plain caster sugar) and powdered sugar and put it on a plate. Roll your snowballs in this mixture to give them their "snowy coat"!
Ready to get dressed in their sparkly sugar coat!
All waiting in one line for a snowball fight!
This recipe is really nice to bake with kids because it is so super easy. Jamie can make them almost on her own. I just need to help her measuring the ingredients and put the oven on.
Have a wonderfully magical December weekend and we hope to see you back on Monday!
